Fola was a puzzling contradiction. The confident, successful CEO of a chain of stores in the Nigerian capital; the person feted at social events, renowned for her generosity and philanthropy; yet a bitter, sad and exhausted woman beset with anxiety, ill-health and low self-esteem that left her numb and confused.

It was Moni, Fola’s longtime friend, confidante, and agent of change, who helped her heal and find joy.
